Letter No: 1 / Ma Ma Ra Tha / 2026
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) began a hearing on 12-1-2026 on the fasely and fabricated case to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar with the intention of committing genocide accused by Gambia which interfer in the internal affairs of Myanmar. We strongly oppose and condemn the actions which are not only inciting ethnic and religious conflicts to disrupt peace and stability in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, but also using all means to tarnish the reputation of our great nation, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The Myanmar delegation led by U Ko Hlaing and Dr. Daw Thida Oo is being treated with respect, honor, and support by all the Union-born monks, ethnic people, and people of the Union who are full of the spirit of the Union.
The Gambian lawsuit is not against a single individual, but against the entire Myanmar nation, so it applies to all the monks and people. The Myanmar national traitors and exiles are not only looking at their own interests, but are also under foreign influence, spreading false information, and making baseless accusations. The monks and people are already aware that Western countries and OIC countries are constantly using the media to create false stories and complicate Myanmar's affairs.
On 12-1-2026, the evidence submitted by the Gambian side, which labeled the monks and the people as extremists, especially both the venerated monk Sitagu Sayadaw and the nationalist leader U Wirathu as extremists, was found to be the work of traitorous exiles.
The Patriotic Myanmar Monks Union (Yangon) issued this statement on behalf of the Buddhist monks and people who have a unionist spirit, strongly condemning the Gambia's widespread use of ethnic slurs and fabricated evidence in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the Bengali issue which involved the actions of the exiled traitors and the extremists.
